The Shimano TR1000LD Charter Special Salt Water Reel Levelwind is ideal when it comes to the art of downrigger fishing. by nature of their design, lever drag reels have larger drag surface areas that perform more efficiently. The durable and reliable water shielded ball bearing titanium drag will perform under the most adverse conditions. A preset knob lets you lock in the strike position, so that you can instantly return to this position after making any drag adjustments. Reels feature one-piece graphite/titanium frames, high speed retrieve, stainless drive and pinion gears, stainless main shaft and reel feet, strike alarms, aluminum spools and (4) stainless steel ball bearings. This product has a 4.2:1 gear ratio and (3) options for line capacity. for line 12, this reel has a capacity of 390-yards, 14 up to 330-yards and line 17 up to 250-yards.
